I love the pink and gray pattern on this set, but it took a lot of thinking before I decided to buy it. It isn't terribly expensive, but I knew it might be ruined during labor..... my OB told me as much as soon as she saw it. However..... the gown provided by the hospital didn't completely cover my rear end which meant walking the halls during labor would be impossible (or at least very em-bare-assing LOL). I'm glad I bought it, and it wasn't ruined at all.... but even if it had been, I would have been thankful for the comfort of having my own stuff from home.

The pillow cover is an easy way to differentiate your pillow from the hospital's so it doesn't get left behind, and I got a LOT of compliments on my matching attire in labor. LOL! Also, it has snaps all the way up the back, so when I got my epidural which is an IV at my hospital, it was easy to unsnap the portion needed to do the procedure and then snap up the area except where the line went in after it was inserted. It's long enough to be modest and roomy enough that you don't feel constricted at all without looking like you're wearing a tent. The snaps at the shoulders make it SO easy to do skin-to-skin with baby and breastfeed which is a HUGE necessity. So much easier than tying and untying a hospital gown.

This gown and pillowcase set is a great way to treat yourself during an arduous and painful experience, and provided you are able to keep it for use after labor, it is a wonderful nightgown. It will look great in all the baby photos, too!

I absolutely love the feel & colors of the Gownies, BUT. the fit is somewhat weird. I’m 5’3, 159lbs at 32 weeks. I comfortably wear a Medium, or 8-10 in maternity.
I purchased these to wear these in the hospital after my c-section, in 7 weeks.
After reading the reviews on the odd sizing, I decided to order one small & one large. My intention was to exchange the one that didn’t fit right for the size that did, so I could have 2. I still have both sizes..... the Small fits good, now, but doesn’t leave much growing room. However, the Large is massive! Even if I gain 10lbs or more over the next 7 weeks, more than likely it will still be uncomfortably large.
I decided I’m going to see how they fit in 2 weeks or so, then I’ll make the decision on which one to exchange. Maybe then I’ll have a better idea.
In my opinion, the Gownies company really needs to consider making a middle size. Then these gowns would be perfect!
Unfortunately, for now.....I’m left with the decision of having gowns that could potentially be a bit tight or waaaay too large.
I’ll update on which size I choose & why. Right now I’m putting 3 stars due to the weird sizing, but the fabric & colors are wonderful!

My wife is very happy with this gown and pillow case set! She is excited not to have to give birth in something that who knows what may have gone down in. I wanted to make her feel stylish and more lady like than the one the old man is wearing we may have walked by in the hospital that would have cracked the always awful joke of, "Looks like great minds think alike!" As he shows he is also wearing an equally hideous of a gown. Not today old man. Not today.

I liked this gown to do skin to skin with my son when he was born. However, maybe I was bigger than I thought I would be after delivery because I usually wear a large, so that's what I ordered, but it fit kind of snug. I actually ripped one of the shoulders when I was trying to button it back up because it didn't come as far up as I thought. I'd order it again, but just go up a size to make sure you have enough room. Btw, I received a lot of compliments on this gown and matching pillow case. Made this new, tired Mom feel really good!

Buy a size bigger! I bought this in my 8th month of pregnancy and it was very large. But by the time I delivered it fit great and you don’t want anything tight when you’re in labor. I received a lot of compliments from all of the nurses and doctors and it is great to be complemented when you’re in labor and in pain and feeling not so attractive. Loved the matching pillow. One disappointment was that the top button was broken and I didn’t realize it until the hospital.

Very nice. I bought the pink with white dots one to give myself some more comfort when I have to go to hospital. It is made of a classic (but rather thin) cotton fabric. No inner lining. Washes well. You need to iron, just hang to dry would not work. I like the color and the idea of having gown and matching pillow. Looks beautiful and will help me feel a bit more like myself in the sterile hospital surrounding and the color helps to look less pale.
Fit is true to size. I was a pre-pregnancy 10-12, 5‘8 tall and now 190lbs two weeks prior to due date. Size L/XL fits perfectly.

I bought a second one from another brand which is even softer, comes with inner lining and does not need to get ironed but I like them both very much as they have totally different styles.
I would reorder and will def. bring as a baby shower gift for future moms to be.
